Republican Valley Cattle Feeders, Inc. opened for business in 1962 as a feedlot with a 4,000 head capacity. Since its start, there has been a steady growth to its current capacity of approximately 22,000 head. In 1995 the feed yard was taken over by it's current owners and the name was changed to Premium Feeders, Inc.
Premium Feeders is located in the midst of the primary grain producing areas of the Great Plains. Located in North Central Kansas just west of Scandia on U.S. Highway 36, Premium Feeders is surrounded by irrigated farmland and has access to major packer markets. Premium Feeders also has access to an on-site running ethanol plant. Nesika Energy, LLC produces 76,000 tons of Wet Distillers Grain and is located just west of Premium Feeders, Inc.
